The 5th Discover Advanced Trends in E-Commerce Exhibition (DATE Expo) is being held May 29-31 on the 2nd floor of the Taipei World Trade Center Exhibition Hall 1. The press conference held on May 23rd announced that global e-commerce companies from the United States, Singapore, Malaysia, and France will participate in the show. The event will focus on smart retail, social network marketing, and e-commerce innovation to fully represent online and offline integrations, technology services, and applications.
The Date Expo is organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and co-organized by the Taiwan Internet and E-Commerce Association (TiEA), Taiwan Association of Logistics Management (TALM), Chinese Non-Store Retailer Association (CNRA), and TeSA. Through the exhibition, salons, and lecture halls, it aims to offer more local and foreign companies an understanding of e-commerce industry trends as a means to expand their application and participation. Chia-Hao Wang, CFO of TeSA, said that e-commerce markets in Northeast Asia, such as in Japan and South Korea, are about to become ‘mature’. Countries in Southeast Asia such as Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam have huge demographic dividends and their e-commerce revenue is growing by double digits every year. Taiwan has excellent geographical advantages, high education standards, and very comprehensive experience in brand and e-commerce platform operations. We anticipate that Taiwan will become the center that connects Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia to create Asia's first common market for global e-commerce.
According to TAITRA, the exhibition features 31 sessions on industry status, trends, and e-commerce solutions, including a total of 13 e-commerce market analysis salons (5/29-30). The lecturers include representatives from Amazon Global Selling and Amazon Business (Taiwan), JD.com (Indonesia and China), Malaysia Ecommerce Association (Malaysia), Shopback (Singapore), Thai eCommerce Association (Thailand), O'Mall (China), KOLSA (Korea), and FACY (Japan). There are also 18 e-commerce practice seminars (5/29-31) where smart retail and cross-border e-commerce companies, including exhibitors such as 28Mall from Malaysia, FACY from Japan, and Taiwan Zhongsheng Enterprise, TRANSBIZ, and E-MYGO from Taiwan, will share e-commerce solutions and success stories.
